How to Download Instagram Photos Online – Step by Step

Open the Instagram app and go to the post you want to save. Tap the three dots (•••) at the top right of the post and select "Copy link". On Instagram's website, just copy the URL from your browser's address bar.

Instagram compresses uploads slightly on ingest. If a creator uploads a 12-megapixel photo, Instagram typically stores it as a 1080-pixel wide JPG.
